“NEVER GIVE UP” - posters line the walls in elementary school gyms. They were cringe.
Yet 90% of startups DO give up.
And it’s not all bad.
Knowing how to count the cost, having the humility to pivot, is not a failure but wisdom.
So yeah, you guessed it.
It is with really sad but equally peace-filled hearts that we share this news.
We are HITTING PAUSE on any and all product restocks and taking some breathing room from Roots & Fruits Market.
This may come as a shock because of all the talks of a huge restock.... and we genuinely were about to, when things went sideways.
The truth is, these past 4 months have blown us away, and it’s been an adventure like no other. Still, the combination of:
✨ Our own health demanding more of our attention for healing
✨ Our capacities being spread thin with many aspects of business and life
✨ Our family's priorities getting bumped and the unsustainable nature of our current setup
✨ Our inability to predict the future and purchasing mistakes as we launched
Has led us to realize it’s just not worth pushing through right now.
So we are stepping away from the e-commerce side of Roots & Fruits, at least for a while.
The next steps needed to keep up with this growth are just not feasible for our family at this time.
So this is NOT goodbye. It's a clearance and breath.
We need to heal.
Our main goal as a company is helping people walk out whole person wellness LONG TERM and we would be fools to lose that for our own family. We were dealt some cards in life this past year that we couldn't control, and has made it near impossible to continue growing this store AND being holistically healthy as a family.
So we are choosing health. Through tears.We want to express our deepest gratitude to all of the amazing customers we’ve got to serve in our short four months. We sincerely hope to ship to you again, but we write this with open hands and open hearts, not knowing the future.
All that said, here are some important details:
- All our inventory is on clearance from now until March 15th and then we will NOT be shipping orders, or restocking for the foreseeable future.
- Over the next few weeks we will be shifting a SELECT FEW items over to the Roots & Fruits Wellness site where Josee will still have product at her consulting office for local clients and have the ability to ship to virtual clients and customers. But this will be by no means like what we’ve been able to do here.
- Please keep following us here to stay up to date with the latest developments. We don't know what's to come and want to leave the door open.
